Our Story

Bundled was founded by William Wiltshire and Jaysan Shah, graduates of the Harvard Graduate School of Education who met in class chasing the same question: how is education changing, and what does that mean for families?

Jaysan is a cognitive scientist who was working in neurotechnology, and wanted to know how new technologies change the way we learn.

Bundled, by Tomorrow Schools

They teamed up on Tomorrow Schools, a research project studying emerging school designs and how schools built from first principles are rethinking what it means to prepare kids for the future.

The research took them across the country, and into the policy and funding mechanisms remaking American education. State by state, education savings accounts and school choice programs are moving public dollars directly to families, and to the microschools, tutors, and enrichment providers those dollars can now reach. William and Jaysan mapped how these programs work, where they're growing, and what they ask of the families expected to navigate them.

The gap between the schools families want and the ones they can find

They found that the schools are impressive, and families love the personalized learning. But two things hold the movement back.

Families can't navigate with confidence.

More choices meant more uncertainty: microschools, hybrid programs, tutors, enrichment, camps. Choosing a school has always run on word of mouth, and word of mouth favors the schools with decades or centuries of tradition behind them.

New schools can't be seen.

For all their strengths, new schools struggled to tell their story and to make the voices of the families who love them heard. A school that opened three years ago can be transforming children's lives every day and still be invisible to the family down the street.

Building Bundled

Alongside fellow graduate Tate Park, William and Jaysan set out to build Bundled: a platform for school choice where the only metric that matters is family experience.

For emerging providers, from schools and tutors to afterschool programs and summer camps, Bundled is a way to tell their story and secure enrollment in a crowded market. For families, it's confidence that their child will be in a place that fits their needs and their values.

They built Bundled on one belief: the best signal in education isn't a test score or a college list anymore. It's another family like yours, saying they found their place.
